Torture RackHave any of you visited museums displaying ancient methods of torture?  No.  Well, I am sure you’ve seen some of them in old movies or on TV.  One of them was a type of “stretch” contraption called “The Rack.”  It was designed to stretch you until your bones popped out of their sockets.

While “godly” stretching is not designed to be torture, stretching can still hurt if we allow it to.  We all like our comfort zones and it’s so easy to settle.  It’s even easier to make excuses.  It’s not so easy to stretch.  Isaiah 54:2 reads, “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.”

Our God-given dreams will stretch us.  We need to enlarge ourselves to make a place for the supernatural enabling that makes our dreams come true.

  • Stretching
  • Enlarging
  • Lengthening
  • Changing

None of the above is about status quo:  they are about pressing on, pressing through, and pressing upward to achieve the outcome that God has planned for us.  Drawing things from the supernatural realm into the natural realm in dream fulfillment brings obstacles that we must overcome in order to see success.

We can stretch and we can see success because God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness.  We have “the” measure of His faith Real closenecessary to see us through.  As long as we don’t give up, God is ever able and willing to bring us through to dream fulfillment.  He already sees the end.  We need to stay focused on the prize.  We need to stay focused on Him.  We need to believe because nothing is impossible in Him!

What’s all this stretching got to do with Mr. Bear?  Well, actually not much except in speaking of dreams, words, or a vision from God.  My pastor (at that time) gave us a word of knowledge over our home that had to do with all the wildlife that God would bring to our yard.  Well, that’s a word come true!  We do have wildlife galore.

Don’t torture yourself in making your dream come true.  Handle each obstacle depending on Him just as Joseph did and you will see what our God can do in your behalf.
